Description:- Common name - Oregon.
|
|
Area of Use:- Exterior durable timber used for
fascias, bargeboards, pergolas and joinery.
|
|
Substrate Preparation:- All
surfaces must be clean, sound, dust-free and dry or lightly damp.
Kill any mould or fungus with SOLVER Line
4651 Sterilizing Wall-Wash.
Renew
unpainted surfaces affected by weathering by sanding or planing.
Use galvanized nails.
If ungalvanized nails have been used coat
nail heads with SOLVER Line 4120 Zinc Phosphate Anti-Corrosive Metal Primer
to prevent rusting.
Fill holes and
cracks with a suitable exterior filler.
On previously painted surfaces, remove loose and flaking paint and
wash down chalking surfaces.
On areas
where it is not possible to completely remove these materials apply SOLVER
Line 4104 Surface Conditioner and leave to dry for 48 hours.
All Gloss surfaces should be dulled
completely by sanding, then wiped clean with a damp cloth.
Spot prime bare areas with the finishing
coat.
High gum content can exude out
on exposure to heat and age. Must be washed off with Methylated Spirits prior
to painting.
