SUBSTRATE:- Craftwood (see Medium Density Fibreboard & Customwood )

Description:- Compressed particle board with very smooth surface. Particles are larger towards centre of board. Produced with softwood fibres and synthetic resin cured under heat and pressure. Faces can be contaminated with waxy material which will interfere with drying of solvent based products. Must be first coated with water based sealer/undercoat.

Area of Use:- Base sheet for cabinet manufacture, general cabinet work and many other products that require a smooth sheet base material. INTERIOR use only.

Substrate Preparation:- All surfaces must be clean, sound and dry. Remove any grease, dust or other surface contamination. Kill any mould or fungus with SOLVER Line 4651 Sterilizing Wall-Wash. Fill nail holes, cracks, etc., with appropriate patching material. Sand and remove dust. If applying over previous coatings ensure that they are sound. Sand thoroughly to remove any gloss present and remove dust.
