SUBSTRATE:- Clear
Finished Surfaces (see Shellac)
Description:- As clear finishes are relatively
hard, they require very thorough sanding to flatten off ALL gloss prior to
finishing. Some examples require special attention to remove silicone based
polishes used during life of coating.
Area of Use:- Interior
Joinery. For previously coated factory applied clear coatings, refer to
Technical Service.
Substrate Preparation:- Sand the surface
thoroughly in the direction of the grain to completely flatten off all
gloss.
Remove all dust and other
contaminants. Previous lacquer coatings require complete removal.
