SUBSTRATE:- Blue Board

Description:- Blue coloured fibre cement sheet that
has recessed edges on two sides to allow for flushing after fixing.
|
|
Area of Use:- Used as an external lining board and
generally coated with a texture coating. Also known as HardiTex Base Sheet.
|
|
Substrate Preparation:- Fill any imperfections
with an appropriate patching material.
On previously painted surfaces remove loose and flaking paint and fill
surface imperfections.
Clean down
thoroughly to remove dirt, grease, dust etc.
Kill any mould or fungus with SOLVER Line 4651 Sterilizing
Wall-Wash.
Seal stains with SOLVER Line
4747 Quick Drying Multi Block Stain Sealer.
Spot prime bare areas with the recommended first coat.
Powdery, friable surfaces must be washed
and rubbed down to a sound surface.
On
areas where it is not possible to completely remove powdery materials apply
SOLVER Line 4104 Surface Conditioner according to directions.

Any water based undercoat/ sealer. SOLVER Line 4455 Solvatex Acrylic Sealer is
the most
common and preferred product.
Patching compound (all fillers) must be mixed as per recommendations for
exterior use,
i.e. with 10% cement powder added prior to use.
